Vereinsporträt
Der TTC Schöftland wurde 1973 gegründet. Ziel war es, diesen temporeichen und faszinierenden Tischtennissport zu betreiben und andererseits die Geselligkeit in einem Club zu fördern. Dass daraus einer der erfolgreichsten und beständigsten Clubs im Aargauer Tischtennis wurde, ahnte damals noch niemand.
Seit 1982 spielt der TTC Schöftland in der NLC. Zwischendurch spielte man sogar sechs Jahre in der NLB.
Seit einigen Jahren wird im Club wieder vermehrt ein Jugendtraining angeboten. Zudem wurde ein Profitrainer engagiert, um wieder vermehrt junge Mitglieder in den Verein zu bringen. Im Training sind ausdrücklich alle Stärkeklassen willkommen. Unser Profitrainer bietet am Montagabend für alle ein Supertraining an. Wer frei spielen möchte, ist natürlich ebenso gerne gesehen.
Neben den sportlichen Erfolgen stand das Clubleben im Zentrum. Mit zahlreichen Veranstaltungen wie Skiweekends, Clubreisen, Freundschaftsspielen, Familientagen und anderem wurde der Zusammenhalt gefördert. Heute finden Bowlingabende, Grillfeste, Chlaushock, Golfturnier und andere Aktivitäten statt.
Tischtennis ist ein idealer Sport mit geringem Verletzungsrisiko für alle Altersklassen. Die Teilnahme an Meisterschaft und damit verbundene Lizenzierung ist allerdings keine Bedingung für einen Clubbeitritt. Neue Clubmitglieder sind immer herzlich willkommen.
